The birds that migrate to and fro from Africa are, I think, fantastic . We have great bustards nesting 2km from the house . On a drive from the house to the local veiw point which overlooks the nesting site of the bustards you would normally see several types of birds of prey including Eagles and sometimes vultures. Shrikes are everywhere. Also another favourite in the evening is the red necked nightjar, and stone culew. Other birds include cranes, crested pochard, spoonbills, egerets, kingfishers, purple heron, night heron and glossy ibis.
